How to connect Dot5 with external calendars
You can connect your Events or Employees calendar to external platforms like iCalendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.
- Go to Events or Employees from the left-side menu.
- Click the Export button.
- Choose how you’d like to connect your calendar:
- Static: Download an
.icsfile. You can import this into your external calendar, but any updates made in Dot5 will not sync automatically. - Dynamic: Subscribe to the calendar using a URL. Paste this link into your external calendar to keep it updated in real time.
- (Optional) Apply filters to export only specific data, such as certain event types.
- Select the date and time range you want to include in the export or subscription.
- Click Export or Subscribe.

If you downloaded the file, you can import it into your calendar by following these steps:
iCalendar (desktop)
- Open the Calendar application.
- Go to File > Import.
- Select the downloaded
.icsfile. - Choose the calendar where you want to add the events.
- Click Import.
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar.
- In the left-hand menu, click the + next to “Other calendars.”
- Select Import.
- Upload the
.icsfile. - Choose the calendar where you want to add the events and click Import.
Outlook (web version)
- Open Outlook in your browser and go to the Calendar view.
- In the left panel, click Add calendar.
- Select Upload from file.
- Choose the
.icsfile you downloaded. - Select which calendar you want to save it to.
- Click Import.
If you copied the link to subscribe to the calendar, follow these steps to add it:
iCalendar (desktop)
- Open the Calendar application.
- Go to File > New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste the calendar link.
- Click Subscribe.
- Adjust the refresh settings if needed and confirm.
iCalendar (mobile)
- Open the Calendar app.
- Tap Calendars at the bottom.
- Select Add Calendar in the lower-left corner.
- Tap Add Subscription Calendar.
- Paste the calendar link.
- Tap Subscribe to confirm.
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar.
- In the left-hand menu, click the + next to “Other calendars.”
- Select From URL.
- Paste the calendar link.
- Click Add calendar.
Outlook (web version)
- Open Outlook in your browser and go to the Calendar view.
- In the left panel, click Add calendar > Subscribe from web (or “From Internet”).
- Paste the calendar link.
- Add a name if desired and click Import.
