How to connect Dot5 with external calendars

You can connect your Events or Employees calendar to external platforms like iCalendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.


  1. Go to Events or Employees from the left-side menu.
  2. Click the Export button.
  3. Choose how you’d like to connect your calendar:
  • Static: Download an .ics file. You can import this into your external calendar, but any updates made in Dot5 will not sync automatically.
  • Dynamic: Subscribe to the calendar using a URL. Paste this link into your external calendar to keep it updated in real time.
  1. (Optional) Apply filters to export only specific data, such as certain event types.
  2. Select the date and time range you want to include in the export or subscription.
  3. Click Export or Subscribe.



If you downloaded the file, you can import it into your calendar by following these steps:


iCalendar (desktop)

  1. Open the Calendar application.
  2. Go to File > Import.
  3. Select the downloaded .ics file.
  4. Choose the calendar where you want to add the events.
  5. Click Import.


Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click the + next to “Other calendars.”
  3. Select Import.
  4. Upload the .ics file.
  5. Choose the calendar where you want to add the events and click Import.


Outlook (web version)

  1. Open Outlook in your browser and go to the Calendar view.
  2. In the left panel, click Add calendar.
  3. Select Upload from file.
  4. Choose the .ics file you downloaded.
  5. Select which calendar you want to save it to.
  6. Click Import.


If you copied the link to subscribe to the calendar, follow these steps to add it:


iCalendar (desktop)

  1. Open the Calendar application.
  2. Go to File > New Calendar Subscription.
  3. Paste the calendar link.
  4. Click Subscribe.
  5. Adjust the refresh settings if needed and confirm.


iCalendar (mobile)

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Tap Calendars at the bottom.
  3. Select Add Calendar in the lower-left corner.
  4. Tap Add Subscription Calendar.
  5. Paste the calendar link.
  6. Tap Subscribe to confirm.


Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click the + next to “Other calendars.”
  3. Select From URL.
  4. Paste the calendar link.
  5. Click Add calendar.


Outlook (web version)

  1. Open Outlook in your browser and go to the Calendar view.
  2. In the left panel, click Add calendar > Subscribe from web (or “From Internet”).
  3. Paste the calendar link.
  4. Add a name if desired and click Import.
