How to add tasks
There are multiple ways to add tasks in Dot5.
Option 1: From the Left-Hand Menu
- The fastest way to add a Task is to click the plus sign next to Tasks in the left side menu.
- Fill in the required fields, as well as any other relevant details. You can always add or edit information later.
- Click Create to save your Task. A confirmation message will appear once the Task is saved.
- You can then drag and drop the Task from Unassigned to any section inside Tasks.
Option 2: From the Tasks Page
- Click Tasks in the left-hand menu.
- Click New Task in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Fill in the required fields, as well as any other relevant details. You can always add or edit information later.
- Click Create to save your Task. A confirmation message will appear once the Task is saved.
- You can then drag and drop the Task from Unassigned to any section inside Tasks.
Option 3: From a Section in Tasks
- Inside Tasks, click any of the plus signs **to the right of a section name (for example, next to the **Unassigned section).
- Fill in the required fields, as well as any other relevant details. You can always add or edit information later.
- Click Create to save your Task. A confirmation message will appear once the Task is saved.
- You can then drag and drop the Task from the section where it was created to any section inside Tasks.
Option 4: From Employees
- Click Employees in the left-hand menu.
- Click on a shift (shifts are shown as blue slots in all views).
- In the pop-up window, click + Add Task in the top-right corner.
- Fill in the required fields, as well as any other relevant details. You can always add or edit information later.
- Click Create to save your Task. A confirmation message will appear once the Task is saved.
- Once created, you can drag and drop the Task from Unassigned to any section inside Tasks.
Option 5: From Events
- Click Events in the left-hand menu.
- Select an event.
- Click + Add New Itinerary Event in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Add New Task.
- Fill in the required fields, as well as any other relevant details. You can always add or edit information later.
- Click Create to save your Task. A confirmation message will appear once the Task is saved.
- Once created, you can drag and drop the Task from Unassigned to any section inside Tasks.
