# How to create an event

###### Step 1: Add Event types
*(If you already have event types set up, skip to Step 2)*

1. Go to **Admin Settings** in the left side menu.
2. Click **Templates.**
3. Select **Events** from the dropdown menu.
4. Click the **New Event Type **button** **in the top-right corner.
5. Fill in the details. You can create multiple event types and assign different colors for easier recognition.

###### Step 2: Create an Event
Once event types are set up, you can add events to your calendar in multiple ways:

**Option 1: From the Dashboard**
1. Click the **Add new** button in the top right corner of the screen or in the Events widget.
2. Select “Event”.
3. Fill in the event details.
4. Click **Save and Continue**. After saving, you can add Guests, Activities, Documents, and other data points to manage your event.

**Option 2: From the Left-side Menu**
1. Click the **+** next to **Events** in the left-side menu.
2. Fill in the event details.
3. Click **Save and Continue**. 

**Option 3: From Events Page**

1. Click **Events** in the left side menu.
2. Push the **Add New Event** button in the top right corner.
3. Select **Create Blank Event.**
4. Follow the steps to fill in the event details and click **Save and Continue**.
