# How to connect Dot5 with external calendars

You can connect your Events or Employees calendar to external platforms like iCalendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.

1. Go to **Events** or **Employees** from the left-side menu.
2. Click the **Export** button.
3. Choose how you’d like to connect your calendar:
* **Static**: Download an `.ics` file. You can import this into your external calendar, but any updates made in Dot5 will not sync automatically.
* **Dynamic**: Subscribe to the calendar using a URL. Paste this link into your external calendar to keep it updated in real time.
4. (Optional) Apply filters to export only specific data, such as certain event types.
5. Select the date and time range you want to include in the export or subscription.
6. Click Export or Subscribe.
